RANDOM PHOTOS

yay class outing on friday was really fun! ok, uploading random photos now! (after attempting to access blogger for the last half an hour. i swear, this thing hates me.

YAY it can actually upload vid clips. hear the loud voice at about 0:41s...its CM :)

大家请看清楚:这不是我们的洪总裁

Now, I don't usually post flippant stuff like this but I JUST COULDN'T RESIST THE URGE TO. Haha. And if you read the Chinese, you'll be duly rewarded with a juicy piece of gossipy news by your dearest 06S7D 'investigative' journalist. LOL.

CEO/Principal Mr Ang Wee Hiong.

Note: Photo of Yasuo Fukuda from Yahoo! News/AP News and photo of Mr Ang from MOE website. The writer bears no responsibility for the sheer likeness of the abovestated persons, or any unintended consequences that may arise because of this.

THREE MORE DAYS (TWO FOR NON-CHEM-H3 PPL)

Gogogo everyone :)

And in the midst of our studying, let's not forget that this friday is a special day. It's special because it's the last paper for most of us!

So...in lieu of this, let's decide what to do after friday morning comes and goes, shall we? :D

Mmm. There's a kbox at lot 1. *AHEM* but no pool/lan that I know of. I dunno what JEC has (it was suggested in previous posts? oO)

Anti-lot 1 argument will be as follows: construction work going on, damn dusty and noisy outside (but it's outside after all :D).

I think all these posts are in vain, cos:
1) Not everybody visits this blog and comments regularly ^^
2) We will end up stoning for 1hr (estimate) after h3 at the class bench deciding what to do anw :D

But wth, no fun not posting anything.

For those who haven't watched hmm ratatouille, bourne, etc can go watch lol. Again, venue is undecided, but places like lot 1 and jec should do fine. Detractors against the west can argue for town, but friday/ saturday prices are like oO.

Ok, so what about pool or lan (another oO)? We will need to bring a change of clothes (so can EVERYBODY remember to bring clothes on fri, just in case? ^^) I've this vague feeling I'll forget, but wth, I'll have my jacket. Once again, the problem of venue arises (I suggest town for this, maybe paradiz^^ or somewhere else). Perhaps we can go bowling even! Mmm.

Regarding the issue of lan, it'll probably turn out to be an all(mostly?)-guys event, and if things ever do boil down to this, we can probably go somewhere with both stuffs to do, or we can delay and fuss and teh till the cows come home, which is quite likely (damn, I remember after TD when I went with some high sch ppl to lan, and we were damn lag so everywhere was filled, and we spent 2 hrs walking frm lan shop to lan shop ><). Mmm...so the thing is, friday will be here very quickly. Tomorrow's paper is only one and a half hours. Shocking eh? I was thinking it would be two hours (not that I want to stay longer). So, expect 1 essay (1/2 hr) and 4 stq (1/4 hr each). For chem MCQ it's a shocking 1 hr, and for *AHEM* h3 chem it's a 2 and a 1/2 hour long splat in our face block of time.

Okay, so what's my point of posting this? It's to take up 5 minutes of your time to read this and start thinking (preferably, in your subconscious) about friday afternoon. [Note, time taken up depends on reading speed.] And besides that, I believe everybody is thinking about how we have to repeat this horrible draggy exams again during the As (to quote Mr Lee: if you found this draggy, then the As will be even worse right? =.-").

But, fret not, things are gonna be alright. In the midst of preparing for examinations we will learn things like determination and enlightenment, not to forget the importance of knowing what 'squalor' means. We will press on to enlighten ourselves with revelation of concepts which we never knew existed, and we will press on, determined to do our best. What's the best thing we will learn from exams? Not the concepts, but the values. Concepts are after all, facts, which we can always get from sources like wikipedia and google ANYTIME and ANYWHERE. But values, they make us who we are, they shape our view of things, they are the essence of our very being. What will we bring with us into our next stage of life (referring to NS, careers, unis)? It would be made up mostly of what we value most in life, not what we know. [Note: the author has no idea why he is suddenly in a state of waxing lyrical.]

After rambling all that, I wish to say:

JIA YOU 7D!!! <33

On a side note, wishing Liangen, Aaron and Kaiherng a happy birthday, belated, early, or not ^^

*cracks knuckles* Now, let's go back to understanding stem cells...

Thursday, 30 August 2007

hey pple! this is prob my first time blogging in quite a while cos i rmb my blogger was down for quite a while, and then when it was up and proper, i had nth to blog about. :P

anw, just wanna thank u for ur enthusiasm in replying to my msg for mr lee's prez... shir li, jaime and i went to give it to him and it was def worth remembering..he opened it and immediately started smiling..he fingered the picture and smiled even more..he asked if we understood the french words and asked us to pronounce it (which i did, and he even said it was not bad :P)...haha..don't think he knows that i took french before..i didn't realy declare it cos my french wasn't tt good, and i didn't want him to speak to me in french in class..(having to take the O's kinda takes all the joy out of the learning, seriously). anw, he thanked us for the gift, and altho he's really a man of little words, all of us cld just feel the happiness radiating from him:)

anw, here are some of the ideas that i compiled from the smses and emails..special thanks to soon huat and bensing for going the extra mile in helping me out! :)

RuDy Lee
ideas:)
Jane:
high affinity for all other elements.
Rich- same group as gold or carb-diamond allotropes
Jin Rong:
high affinity for branded belts
emits sounds like “irrelevant” when properties are further investigated
forms strong inter-student bonds via forces involving pizza
Kai Herng:
CT stands for chong tai and civics tutor
high affinity for pizza and armani exchange belt
Liang En:
high affinity for carbon and all organic compounds
catalytic metal
Soon Huat:
fusing two elements Ruthenium (Ru-101) and Dysprosium (Dy-163), the new element has been coined as Ruthdystronium (RuDy-264)
RuDy is also to found to be highly unreactive and many reactions possess a high activation energy rendering them non-spontaneous.
reactive towards Bismuth (Bi-209) and Bi tends to form a belt around the element on the x-y plane. And together with the treatment of solution containing Americium (Am), it is then found be reactive towards noble gases Argon(Ar-39.9) and Xenon(Xe-131) and similarly form belt around the x-y plane.
Wai Lumn:
high affinity for water, likes scuba diving
very miscible with 7d, high solvent solute interactions
Alvin:
highly unreactive even in extreme conditions - inert
it is still unknown if it can form a stable compound with Wo
shows passing charges as it often forms as pass-ion
Nik:
catalyst for the learning process
Ben:
Descriptions of rudy lee (replace 'Rd' with the corresponding atomic symbol u gave it ^^)-----------------------------------(suggestion by ccb: put him as element 111, below gold and silver, atomic symbol officially Uuu, but who cares? :D)
1. Rd exists as a monoatomic element.
2, Rd is a catalyst of mark increase by lowering our activation energy, putting us in the right orientation and attitude towaRds chemistry.
3. Up till now, no stable compounds of Rd and another element of the opposite sex has been discovered. (He's still single! :D)
4. Rd is HOT. (Rd is actually radioactive bah, in other words hot haha)
5. Rd is most commonly found in Mauritius, but an abundant source of it has been recently discovered in Singapore.
6. Rd is rather inert.
7. Rd is often found as a pure compound. Sometimes, though, elements of the opposite sex may be found together with it.

finally....
Element: Ruthdystronium (RD-264), commonly known as Rudidium or Ahsenic
Symbol: Rd
Discoverer: 06s7d, 2006
Atomic Mass: 264
Location: Rd is most stable in Mauritius, but it has been seen to exhibit similar stability in Singapore.
Tests:
Application of appropriate amount of pressure will result in the physical manifestation of Italian cuisine.
Further application of pressure will cause it to emit sounds of “irrelevant”.
Physical properties:
Rd exists as a monoatomic element.
Rd is inert, and highly unreactive even in extreme conditions. Many reactions possess a high activation energy, rendering them non-spontaneous.
Rd is radioactive (HOT).
Chemical properties:
Rd is a catalyst of mark increase by lowering our activation energy, putting us in the right orientation and attitude towaRds chemistry.
Despite being highly unreactive, it shows passing charges as it often forms as positively-charged pass-ion.
Ability to form a complex with Bi(llabong), which tends to form a belt around the element on the x-y plane. Following addition of Americium (Am), it is able to undergo ligand exchange with Ar(mani) and Xe(hange) which similarly form a belt around the x-y plane.
Ability to form complex with compounds found in Blackberries.
Highly miscible with compound 06S7D because of its ability to form intermolecular bonds involving pizza with it, where the energy released from the solute-solvent bond formation is more exothermic than the energy required to break solvent-solvent and solute-solute bonds.
Potential hazards:
Hallucinogen that penetrates the CNS, inducing deception in the subject on the real difficulty of certain chemistry questions

yep..too bad i didn't take a pic..anw, there were many female teachers swarming his desk after that to look at the photo frame...apparently his charge density is truly very high.

anw, all the best everyone for prelims! :):)

Random

Disclaimer: The following is random content generated by smashing the keyboard randomly. Any semblance to any known language is purely coincidental; there are no ulterior motives or meaning in the following characters. Reading on is pointless. The author takes no responsibility as to what thoughts the reader might encounter while reading the following random text.

It is 7pm, the day before our GP preliminary examinations, and I find myself engrossed completely in doing nothing. It is an exquisitely exotic thing to do amidst the growing stress of examinations and peer pressure, and thus I shall make full use of the opportunity to fool others into being distracted from actual study, thereby shifting the bell curve and hopefully ensuring that my placing will be improved. Muhahaha. It's also an excuse to randomly write and hopefully improve my linguistic capabilities, but that's not the point. And you are not supposed to realise that. Consequentially, I will thus embark onto a tirade of ramblings that will be generally unrelated and I have put no planning into beforehand. You should be able to tell this by now, because thus far there has been no point. None, zero, null, cipher, nada, zilch. Brilliant, is it not?

Firstly, we shall explore the various intricacies of ninjas. Ninjas are cool. So are jedi. What would be cooler would be jedi-ninja. But since the discussion is not about jedi-ninja we shall refrain from being tangential and focus primarily on ninjas. Although jedi-ninja will be liek so uber kewl wif liek throwing-sabers and saber-chucks. I'd hate to be hit with a saber-chuck. Then because they're so ultra cool they'll eat .. waffles for breakfast. See, when normal people make threats they promulgate things like "I eat weaklings like you for breakfast." The jedi-ninja will then promptly reply "I eat waffles for breakfast" The sheer magnitude of this declaration coupled with its truth will undoubtedly shatter the simpleton's mind and break him, reducing him to a cowering excuse for a human. But back to the point. Ninjas have yet to achieve the mastery that the epitome of humanity, jedi-ninjas, have achieved, in lieu of this they have something which jedi-ninjas lack! Publicity! Ninjas are fairly well known, unlike their superior counterparts, which an article in science weekly attributes to the fundamental aspects of human nature; the innate egoist which rejects the notion of beings far superior than oneself. Ergo, people do not believe in the existence of jedi-ninja despite mounting evidence of their existence. Furthermore, jedi-ninjas are modest beings, the natural antagonist of the odious, ostentatious pirates. These upstarts are nothing more than mere turpitude, their ability with swords elementary at best, their morals depraved. Yet pirate-worshippers are seemingly ubiquitous, oblivious to the fact that all their praise and support would be rendered nugatory by a single jedi-ninja. Well, to be fair a ninja would be able to decimate hordes of pirates too, but it might take him more than 3 seconds.

Therefore! I conclude that in the absence of ruling power society will collapse into Warre, in which a warre is one of every man against every man, and consequentially nothing may be unjust for without a common Power there is no Law, and where there is no Law there is no injustice.

Do you remember...

Do you remember the times when we chatted endlessly during lectures, oblivious to what was being taught? Or the times last year when Chia Ming suddenly broke out laughing and the whole class (together with all the other people in the lecture hall) turned in her direction?

Well, its our last lecture already.

Do you remember the times when we had tutorials in the STP classroom and talked during tutorials, amusing ourselves?

Well, its our last tutorial already.

Do you remember the times when we slept/did hw/did nothing/talked to mr lee during CT session, all the while moaning about how useless that period was?

Well, its our last CT session already (and we promptly spent it eating pizza while the other classes were listening to some boring briefing in the audi!).

Do you remember the times when we enjoyed each other's company at the class bench before school started, and how the class bench became our little home in school, where we always make sure we take a detour through when walking to the bus stop, because we want to see whos there? Well, its one of our last times at the class bench already.

When we come back next year to get our A level results, our new junior class will occupy our class bench, other people will fill up the lecture halls, the tutorial classrooms, and the school walkways. It won't be the same anymore... and we won't able to be together as a class again...

Whatever the case, I'm so glad to have been part of this class. Though its not a perfect class, but its one that has given me lots of joy and laughter - and that im thankful for. Thank you to each and everyone of you for making hwachong life so memorable for me! its been a WONDERFUL journey with you guys!!! =)

Teachers' Day Gifts

(Pls correct title if the apostrophe is in the wrong place ^^)

Shall we:
1) get them individually?
2) get the reps to get them.
3) go as a class to buy them.

General consensus would most likely be #2, from what I think. But I shall leave things open.

Oh, if #2 is decided on, can somebody suggest a gift for Ms Kwee?

Okay put it this way, use the comments section in this post to discuss the possible gifts for the teachers.

Argh in the background is the TV with the 'the usual?' advertisement. Please don't post 'the usual'. Haha :D

Edit: Can discuss about outing this/ next friday as well :)
1) Kbox ('cept nik haha)
2) 881? Lol. Not interactive ><
3) Go someone's house (would your parents mind? Mine would scream about the upcoming As, but well...)
4) Pool/ LAN/ Bowling
5) Mugging retreat (EEK)

hahahA

I'm on a yahoo pool losing streak so I thought I might as well cheer myself (and you) up by sharing some jokes I heard at band concert:

Two hydrogen atoms walked into a bar. One said, "I think I lost an electron." The other said, "Are you sure?" The first one replied, "I'm positive."

A termite walked into a bar. It said, "Is the bartender (bar tender) here?"

A drunk man walked into a bar. He said, "Ouch."

Band concert was quite nice btw. Oh and for those who went for guitar concert, thanks for coming! :D :D :D

Hmm it must be boring mugging. Shrek 3 anyone?

GP

Ah here it is, all the tips you'll ever need to score A in GP!

for Paper 1:
Avoid cliches
Avoid tautology
Avoid excessive sarcasm
Avoid tabloid language
Avoid excessively long sentences
Avoid microscopic handwriting
Avoid incoming cars. Cars kill 2 people every minute.
Adopt varied sentence structures
Adopt a balanced perspective (discuss both sides)
Adopt a coherent and fluent argument
Adopt an interesting and varied tone
Adopt a balanced argument
Adopt a clear stand
Adopt an Indian child. There are 44 million child labourers in India.
Always link your points to the question
Always define vague terms
Always address assumptions apparent in the question
Always take time to plan your essay
Always use interesting anecdotes in your essay
Always start with an appropriate introduction and include a conclusion at the end.
Always look on the bright side of life. More people die from suicide than in armed conflicts.

for Paper 2:
Aq - Take time to plan a balanced AQ with plenty of real life examples
By default, always read the passage(s) first
Concise - Answer questions concisely
Draw lines under key points for summary
Examples, Evaluation, Explanation
Failure - Guaranteed if you sleep late the night before
Give recognition to passage with use of quotes (for AQ)
Handwriting - Good handwriting can leave a good impression
Ironies - Learn how to explain them well
Jot down ideas you have for the AQ at the side
Keywords - Check the requirements of the question (make sure they are paraphrased)
Linking words are irrelevant in the summary
Marks - Use marks to gauge the length of your answer
Never question the question
Optimise the use of synonyms
Paraphrase - When replacing words with equivalent ones, ensure that the nuances are relevant to the context
Qualify your arguments using relevant examples/references to the pssage (for AQ)
Research obscure American cultural referenes (e.g. Philistines)
Summary - It is not a real summary. Be sure to paraphrase and include every single point. Include examples if possible.
Time waits for no man - Anaswer the questions as fast as possible!
Use your own words - In the summary, do so at the expense of sentence structure
Vocabulary - Read widely and use phrases to explain if one doesn't know a synonym. Distinguish between similar words.
Word count - Don't cheat too much. (5 words)
X-reference between the 2 passages
You have just wasted 5 minutes reading this
Zzz... Don't fall asleep! =)

happy holidays and time for a class outing part II

Hey 7d! =)

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!! =) =) =)

(Ah this is sort of becoming the de facto standard opening in the past few posts)

Let's have our class outing TOMORROW!

Yes, it's still TOMORROW. But with some slight changes.

Venue: Cineleisure Orchard
Meeting Place and Time: Somerset MRT control station 1pm
Date: 29th May Tuesday

1) Lunch!
No one wishes to go hungry for the rest of the day right? So meet at 1pm if you wanna go for lunch with the class.
Otherwise, meet outside kbox at 2.30pm. To those coming from school, or from near school, 174 is a direct bus. This probably includes the guitarists since they will be at school.

2) KBox
For a list of packages and prices you may refer to the earlier post (:

After which, if we are still not full, it will be dinner time, before catching...

3) Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End
Showtimes: 12:05am, 12:10am, 12:20am, 2:10am, 2:15am, 10:30am, 11:20am, 11:40am, 12:20pm, 12:40pm, 12:50pm, 1:45pm, 2:30pm, 2:40pm, 3:40pm, 4:00pm, 4:10pm, 5:15pm, 6:45pm, 7:00pm, 7:20pm, 7:30pm, 8:45pm, 10:00pm, 10:05pm, 10:40pm, 10:45pm, 11:00pm

So yes, let's make tomorrow fun and enjoyable as a class!

Tomorrow, 1pm, orchard cine. Cya there!

Hey 7d! =)

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!! =) =) =)

In the midst of mugging, don't forget to enjoy YOUR LAST EVER JUNE HOLIDAYS. Sad rite? Our 12th and final june holidays and we're gonna waste it mugging… haiz… =(

Anyway lets have a class outing on 29th May (Tuesday)!

On the sign-up sheet passed around during Chem/Econs lecture yesterday, 9 people said they'll go for POTC and 12 indicated interest in kbox. So that's exactly what we'll do!

Venue: Marina Square
Meeting Place and Time: City Hall MRT control station 10:30am
Date: 29th May Tuesday

1) Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End
Showtimes: 9:45AM 10:15AM 11:10AM 1:25PM 1:45PM 2:30PM 5:05PM 5:15PM 6:00PM 8:45PM 9:30PM

2) KBox
Some basic info on this… there's 3 packages of interest to students. =)

(a) KLunch
11am to 2pm (3 hours). Check in at 11am and you can sing till 2, and there'll be a free Japanese set lunch and a soft/hot drink provided. But if you check in at 12:30pm for example, they'll let you enjoy the same food + drinks + 3hrs till 3:30pm. Either way, no matter what time we go in (as long as not too late, otherwise it'll qualify as KStudent), we'll be able to use for 3hours.

According to the website, the price for this is $8+++ or $10+++ (I dunno why there is two prices? – last time I went during this time the total charge per person came till around $12-$13)

(b) KStudent
2pm to 7pm (5 hours). Again, can check in at any time as long as not too late, and you'll still be able to use for 5 hours. No lunch here, but there's free flow of snacks (uh – this is kacang puteh & assorted nuts) and also includes 2 soft or hot drinks. $9+++ per person.

(c) KStudent Night
7pm to 10pm (3 hours). $12+++ per person. Includes 2 soft or hot drinks.

(d) Buffet + Karaoke
Or if you guys have a lot of cash to burn, we can go for this. $23+++ from 6pm to 10pm, includes 1 drink and a buffet dinner together with the karaoke. But I think generally we're not that affluent thanks to the efficiency of our treasurer, so we'll just strike this off the list.

What I suggest is that we watch POTC at 11:10, then go have lunch, and after lunch (around 3pm) go kbox kstudent… we can stay till around 7pm then go have dinner… that's also the arrangement all those who signed up have agreed on…

The only problem I foresee is that the discounted price is only available to kbox members, but I borrowed my friend's card and it should be fine. Last time he lent to another guy too and they just gave him the discounted rate, so same should apply now. If not we can just nominate one person to apply for a $5 card on the spot. =)

Our class hasn't gone to kbox before as a class so let's do it this time!!! We can all embarrass ourselves by our singing in front of everyone else… hahahaha nothing to be ashamed of as I don’t think any of us can really sing! Its just to go have fun and chill out… its good class bonding too! so if you're interested, pls reply below at the comments… and SEE YOU THERE!!!!!! =P

This is a paragraph of Chinese essay that Niklas wrote some ancient time ago, on a piece of CHINESE HIGH SCHOOL writing paper:

上个星期,我和我家人一起去了印度旅行。我们在那里去了好多地方,让我现在告诉你。我们等一去了一个城市,它叫“Jaipur”。我们在那里住在“Holiday Inn”我们在这个酒店都听早餐、午餐和晚餐。我妈妈说那里的水不可以喝,只可以喝瓶水,以为那里的水不干净。

我们看了一个大大的“Fort”去那里的时候要达大象,很好玩。我们住了那里两夜,然去了一个叫“Agra”的城市。

Niklas!! Didn't know you've been to India before. Been to Agra means visited the Taj Mahal before right?? Haha, that is besides the point. Your Chinese seriously ah... >,< Bet your Chinese teacher would be proud of you!

And two more essays

“Describe Chia Ming.”

Chia Ming is a carbon-based life form that resides on the planet Earth. Throughout the history of the species, the Chia Ming has evolved from a primitive primate to a sophisticated being. One would have to look to evolution for the most probable explanation for the origins of Chia Ming’s characteristic laughter. Chia Ming has always been hunted by her predator, the “Ewetos*”. However, over the years, Chia Ming has developed a method of escape by speedily rowing away on water, a camouflage mechanism to blend with the dense undergrowth, as well as a defence mechanism comprising a sudden outburst of laughter that either scares the wits out of the predator or paralyses it. Laughter is contagious, so they say.

The less adaptable Ewetos has been forced to turn to alternative sources of food as it has not developed the cure or resistance for uncontrollable laughter, which has resulted in the rapid multiplication of Chia Mings. This reduced predation has brought more happiness to Chia Ming, who is usually seen smiling.

* Fictitious character; any resemblance to real person(s), living or dead, is unintended and purely coincidental.

“Describe Irvin.”

Irvin is a conscientious student who consistently puts in a tremendous amount of effort and takes pride in his work. His tutorials are neatly filled in and are often completed way in advance. Although he does not represent the school in national competitions such as the Olympiads, he shows that he can be as good as any of them through hard work and diligence.

One obstacle Irvin struggles with is a lack of confidence especially when speaking aloud to a group of people. Nevertheless, he is improving slowly but surely by participating in class discussions, presentations, and Project Work.

Also, Irvin is unceasingly (sometimes insultingly) and excessively modest, and would unfailingly decline and deny even well-deserved praises directed at him. However, such absolute absence of pride is highly suspicious, and one wonders if the slight smile he gives when attempting to be humble may actually hide something more devious.

Other than the above, Irvin generally fits the bill of the typical student from Hwa Chong. (See Appendix 1).

Appendix 1
General Description of a Typical Student from Hwa Chong:
· Hails from the High School Section (for males)
· Avid supporter of Xiao Mi Mi Economic Rice
· Keeps a standard hairstyle
· Studies hard
· Achieves stellar grades
· Holds a leadership position
· Complains of stress

Hmm running out of ideas already... I should just bring all my bio notes for every bio lesson.

And a (hypothetical) kookie for you to (hypothetically) eat if you figure out where (the hypothetical) ewetos came from.

"Describe Niklas" [10]

Haha here's my punishment-for-not-bringing-bio-notes essay. Enjoy =p

Tay Kiat Aun, Aaron
06S7D

“Describe Niklas”. [10]

Niklas is a heterogametic organism belonging to the species homo sapiens in the genus Homo, family hominidae, order primate, class mammalia, phylum chordata and kingdom animalia. He is the offspring of Mr. Wong and Ms. Sommer, making him half-chinese and half-german.

Being a member of the Gifted Education Programme, Integrated Programme and Science Talent Programme, Niklas is intellectually inclined and does consistently well in his exams as long as he studies. Despite this, Niklas is not arrogant; he is in fact very humble. For example, when conferred the title as the “best looking guy in school” in a recent unofficial survey, he smiles and dismisses it, saying that there are other better looking people around.

Niklas is also very determined and committed. Niklas attends intensive canoeing training every week without fail so as to maintain his dominance in canoeing competitions. Niklas is indeed a true champion for his sport – he maintains a strong anti-drug stance even though his rivals are known to use performance enhancing drugs in a forceful show of integrity.

In addition, Niklas is diligent and does all his tutorials punctually. He consistently brings his tutorials and notes to lessons as he is well aware of the dire consequences of failing to do so. One bad habit of his, however, is that he is untidy and does not file his documents regularly. Nevertheless, this may translate to an unexpected benefit as this compensates for his mediocre memory. As he conceded, the reason why he brought his notes on homeostasis for biology tutorial one day was because he did not file it away, unlike a few other more organised students.

(Later handwrote: Niklas is also very kind and helpful - he helped me print my (this) essay.)

JTS

JTS will be held next Saturday, in the evening, at Fish & Co. (most likely, the glass house). Please comment if you:
  • Don't like the venue
  • Don't like the restaurant (since, after all, we went there last year)
  • Don't like the timing (although chances are this will remain fixed unless 21/22 cannot make it :D)
