HELLO everybody!

CNY is coming up, and it's making me miss Singapore more than ever! we just had some sort of Singaporean/Malaysian CNY party complete with bak-kwa, char kway teow, prata, red bean etc and had this totally cheena asian party as well, with random asian drum performances, chinese orchestral style rendition of Lust Caution's theme and acapella performances. Fun, but still, miss you guys loads!

weather is terrible, hit -16 degrees last week. hope everyone's CNY goes well. Gong xi fa cai, wan shi ru yi! (i want to eat fa cai and buddha jumps over the wall and all that stuff :( ...my mother has very cruelly promised to take pictures of every single dish at our usual reunion dinner at Ritz Carlton's Summer Palace restaurant and send them to me. some mother. )
