it's 7 am and nik is asleep.

Chalet
Heya,
For once I won't be writing a long winded and pointless mini-essay, so fear not, and actually read on. Anyway, our current plans for the chalet have been //pwnt by bureaucracy and red tape. (apparently it takes 1 week to apply for the ability to book chalets), and the chalets on 10 11 we were looking for are all gone.
So, the auxiliary plan as it stands now is to book on 2,3 jan. (That means 3d2n, check out on 4th). An added bonus is that this will no longer be peak period so it should be dirt cheap. Probably <$5 per day/pax.
While we do realise that [this] means Irvin is not going to be able to come because he books in on 15th dec, iirc [if I remember correctly], I figure that this is probably the most acceptable option (Since we're not going to be able to book any chalet in dec in the first place), so uhh.. sorry Irvin >.< We can always try to do something else during the hols as well, eg BBQ at someone's place or something
Soooo, dissenters should voice their objections asap. And give a[n] alternative plan. If not, please keep the first week of the new year free, and good luck for A's.

Qing Gong!
Yay look we were bored today after assembly, so we went to the huge commie banner in front of canteen and practiced our wu gong. too bad the guys siam so fast after assembly to go Econs. Anyway, look, hua zhong zi di ( or maybe nu sheng is more apt) can fly! yay! *zi highs*
Bring camera tmrw pple! and upload the grad day photos leh! so cute, got flying hwa chong bears. i heard they actually had a meeting to decide whether or not the bears should wear shorts. In any case, bare-bummed or not, they are v adorable! I wonder how many pple have it on their bed now.
tmrw got some special CT session or something, dunno what we are gonna do! anyone got any ideas? faster msg me k? some pple suggest play games and stuff.

Right now, Nik and I are talking about the VJ H3 question, the one about indole, or 2ciii) to be accurate. I feel that the Net is a double-edged sword. Firstly, it enlightened us on one possibility that breaking the bonds in benzene would lead to a loss of aromaticity, hence indole prefers substituting at the 3 position. Ok haha shall not post my thought processes out here -.-
(EDIT: I realised my post is halfway done, yet I still published it oO. Okays anyway why is the Net a double-edged sword? Cos secondly, it makes us confused as well. Soo damn confused. Right nik? About imines and enamines of indole ><)

the 7d news update ^^
| TOP STORY: PM DOWN WITH CHICKEN POX, DEPUTY PM AND DEPUTY DEPUTY PM DOWN WITH SAT FEVER. PUBLIC WONDERS WHO'S NEXT IN LINE. OK fine, am bored, which I'm not supposed to be. And I have a dozen tabs in my mozilla firefox right now, and at least 10 windows open, given the horrible admin stuffs of Cambridge, whose receipt I recently received via email (way to go man, environmentally friendly, right Shir Li? ^^). GRADUATION DAY THE above-mentioned event will take place on the 9th of October, immediately after the H3 lesson we have on that day. The public is reminded of the dress code of that day: white long-sleeved shirt, black shoes, and the official lower half of the uniform. With regard to the issue of the token for Minister Mentor Ah Sen, the recent consensus is to steal the teacher's day gift from his table and give it to him. But that would be quite lame imho, so I suppose we still have to rack our brains to get something done | for him. I was thinking of a...t-shirt oO, but dunno what to put on it, dunno where to get it done so quickly. Our deputy CT rep remarked that "we should organise a class outing on that day, since it's a waste of time." Well, I guess this can possibly happen if no one's parents are coming? :) SATS I guess this comes a little late, but good luck to everyone who is going for SATS like now (?). HUMOUR SECTION TSK, I self-niao. During GP yesterday, we were discussing the benefits of the baby bonuses up the fourth child. Ms Lin: So, what possible evaluation can you come up with? Me (being cheeky): It would be not effective for parents who already have four kids. good idea! stayed there b4 and e rooms are qte spacious haha. possible to fit 20 ppl though a bit squeezy haha. but it will b rather warm i guess haha :)

THREE MORE DAYS (TWO FOR NON-CHEM-H3 PPL)
Gogogo everyone :)
And in the midst of our studying, let's not forget that this friday is a special day. It's special because it's the last paper for most of us!
So...in lieu of this, let's decide what to do after friday morning comes and goes, shall we? :D
Mmm. There's a kbox at lot 1. *AHEM* but no pool/lan that I know of. I dunno what JEC has (it was suggested in previous posts? oO)
Anti-lot 1 argument will be as follows: construction work going on, damn dusty and noisy outside (but it's outside after all :D).
I think all these posts are in vain, cos:
1) Not everybody visits this blog and comments regularly ^^
2) We will end up stoning for 1hr (estimate) after h3 at the class bench deciding what to do anw :D
But wth, no fun not posting anything.
For those who haven't watched hmm ratatouille, bourne, etc can go watch lol. Again, venue is undecided, but places like lot 1 and jec should do fine. Detractors against the west can argue for town, but friday/ saturday prices are like oO.
Ok, so what about pool or lan (another oO)? We will need to bring a change of clothes (so can EVERYBODY remember to bring clothes on fri, just in case? ^^) I've this vague feeling I'll forget, but wth, I'll have my jacket. Once again, the problem of venue arises (I suggest town for this, maybe paradiz^^ or somewhere else). Perhaps we can go bowling even! Mmm.
Regarding the issue of lan, it'll probably turn out to be an all(mostly?)-guys event, and if things ever do boil down to this, we can probably go somewhere with both stuffs to do, or we can delay and fuss and teh till the cows come home, which is quite likely (damn, I remember after TD when I went with some high sch ppl to lan, and we were damn lag so everywhere was filled, and we spent 2 hrs walking frm lan shop to lan shop ><). Mmm...so the thing is, friday will be here very quickly. Tomorrow's paper is only one and a half hours. Shocking eh? I was thinking it would be two hours (not that I want to stay longer). So, expect 1 essay (1/2 hr) and 4 stq (1/4 hr each). For chem MCQ it's a shocking 1 hr, and for *AHEM* h3 chem it's a 2 and a 1/2 hour long splat in our face block of time.
Okay, so what's my point of posting this? It's to take up 5 minutes of your time to read this and start thinking (preferably, in your subconscious) about friday afternoon. [Note, time taken up depends on reading speed.] And besides that, I believe everybody is thinking about how we have to repeat this horrible draggy exams again during the As (to quote Mr Lee: if you found this draggy, then the As will be even worse right? =.-").
But, fret not, things are gonna be alright. In the midst of preparing for examinations we will learn things like determination and enlightenment, not to forget the importance of knowing what 'squalor' means. We will press on to enlighten ourselves with revelation of concepts which we never knew existed, and we will press on, determined to do our best. What's the best thing we will learn from exams? Not the concepts, but the values. Concepts are after all, facts, which we can always get from sources like wikipedia and google ANYTIME and ANYWHERE. But values, they make us who we are, they shape our view of things, they are the essence of our very being. What will we bring with us into our next stage of life (referring to NS, careers, unis)? It would be made up mostly of what we value most in life, not what we know. [Note: the author has no idea why he is suddenly in a state of waxing lyrical.]
After rambling all that, I wish to say:
JIA YOU 7D!!! <33
On a side note, wishing Liangen, Aaron and Kaiherng a happy birthday, belated, early, or not ^^
*cracks knuckles* Now, let's go back to understanding stem cells...

after prom go home v sian right? budden travel so far to go to some chalet also not funny. go someone's house? we can chuck all our overnight stuff there beforehand, then go prom, then come back and play mahjong/watch stupid movies/slack around/play dumb games yay that's my suggestion. but then if parents object then bo pian lorzzz.
ok going back into mugger mode (tonight got new season of ANTM yay!)

aft prom
haha anw we shud decide where to go e night after prom as well. haha. can book some hotel room or some chalet haha. or not go home like qte anti cilmax. worse for me, cos i come bak hostel. haha. gao wei.

anyway! to uhm brighten up the day (/night/wadeva), let's think about the day prelims end! uhm. though h3 peeps end 1 day later (abit sad). so.. let's have it on saturday!! cuz everyone needs to sleeeeep. >.<
so. the problem (as always lol) is what to do.
1. kbox (oi. say how many times liao.. haiiii)
2. iceskate (ppl who dun wan kbox can go iceskate. jx opposite! lol. (wrt jec))
3. arcade/lan (wrt jec too. but splitting up not fun liao. so i protest)
4. go someone's house (koped this from prev post =) )
5. cycling (night or otherwise =D)
ok i ran out of ideas. anyth can just comment =D and vote by comment too! oh and it'll be liangen's, aaron's and kaiherng's birthday around this period too. so yep! -draws relevance to the above-
have a fun time mugging!! ^^
